MCMG Tax ("MCMG Tax," "we," "us") provides bookkeeping, fractional CFO and business tax services. This policy explains what information we collect on mcmgtax.com, how we use it, and the choices you have.

The short version: we use your information to answer your request and run our business. We never sell it.

Information you give us

When you fill out a form on our site, we collect:

  • Your name, email and phone number
  • Your business or firm name, if you add it
  • Your answers to the form questions, like your industry, team size, practice area or how your books stand today
  • Any note you add
  • Your Money Score or Trust Check result, if you took one
  • The language you used on the site (English or Spanish)

Please do not send Social Security numbers, bank account numbers or other sensitive financial details through our website forms. We will ask for what we need through a secure channel once we work together.

Information collected automatically

When you visit our site, we and the tools we use may collect:

  • Ad and campaign details from the link you clicked, like campaign tags and Google click IDs
  • The first page you landed on and the site that sent you
  • Basic device and browser information, like browser type and general location based on your IP address
  • How you use the site, like pages viewed and buttons clicked

We save the ad and landing page details in your browser's local storage for up to 90 days, so we can tell which ad or page brought you in if you contact us later. We also save your language choice so the site remembers it. Google tools we use may set cookies, which are explained below.

How we use your information

  • To answer your request and set up your free call or review
  • To contact you by phone, text or email about your request
  • To provide our services if you become a client
  • To learn which ads and pages work, so we spend our marketing budget wisely
  • To keep the site working, secure and free of spam
  • To meet our legal, tax and professional obligations

Text messages

When you submit a form, you agree that MCMG Tax may call, text or email you about your request. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out of texts at any time, or HELP for help. Agreeing to texts is not a condition of buying any service.

We never sell or share your mobile number or your consent to receive texts with third parties for their own marketing.

Who we share information with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:

  • Service providers that help us run the site and respond to you, like our website hosting and database provider, the workflow and team messaging tools that alert Matthew when a request comes in, and our email and text providers. They may use your information only to provide services to us.
  • Google, to measure and improve our ads (see below)
  • Authorities or others when the law requires it, or to protect our rights, our clients or the public
  • A buyer or successor, if our business is ever sold or merged

Client financial and tax information

If you become a client, the financial records and tax information you share are kept confidential. We use them only to do the work you hired us for. We share them only with your permission, as needed to provide your services, or when the law requires it. Tax return information is handled under IRS rules for tax preparers. Your engagement letter with us also covers how we handle client records.

Ads, cookies and measurement

We may use Google Ads, Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics to show our ads and see which ones lead to requests. These tools may use cookies and similar technology. Google's use of this data is covered by its own policies, which you can read at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

You can control ad personalization at adssettings.google.com. You can also block or delete cookies and clear local storage in your browser settings. The site still works if you do, though we may not know which ad brought you in.

Third party content and links

Our site shows reviews from Google and links to our Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn pages. Those companies have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for how they handle your information.

How long we keep information

We keep form requests as long as we need them to follow up with you and keep normal business records, then delete them. Ad and landing page details in your browser expire after 90 days. Client records are kept as long as the law and professional rules require.

How we protect information

We use reasonable safeguards, like secure connections and limited access, to protect your information. No website or system is 100% secure, so we cannot promise perfect security.

Your choices

  • Ask to see, correct or delete the information we have about you
  • Opt out of texts by replying STOP, or out of emails by using the unsubscribe link or asking us
  • Block cookies or clear your browser's storage at any time

To make a request, email us at info@mcmgtax.com. We may need to confirm who you are first.

Children

Our site and services are for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you think a child has sent us information, email us and we will delete it.

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page.
